Kathy Griffin Admits Ellen DeGeneres Still Has Beef With Her

Comedian Kathy Griffin is revealing why Ellen DeGeneres has beef with her.

On Thursday, Griffin appeared on Fox’s Good Day New York and got real about her feuds with several famous faces. Show host, Rosanna Scotto wasted no time wanting to know what is really going on with Griffin and DeGeneres.

The former reality TV star did not hold back explaining why the daytime talk show host has an issue with her.

“I am apparently not her cup of tea. But I think she is great. I am not a comedy snob,” the 58-year-old said.

Griffin is known for her no holds bar and rather vulgar comedy. She is also full of controversy because many do not like her bluntness. The funny lady will not back down from her opinion either, even if it causes damage to her reputation. Remember the infamous Trump photo?

“I’m vulgar, but I think it’s great there’s clean comedians and prop comedians and topical comedians and observational comedians. I’m just happy whenever a female, especially a female over 50, is still in the game,” Griffin revealed.

The feud between the two female comics allegedly began when DeGeneres chose not to participate in a tribute to Joan Rivers. Although the talk show host has never spoken out about the feud, the former Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List star brought it up during one of her comedy shows in 2018.

Those that attended her show at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater learned Griffin’s side of went down between the two funny females.

“One of the things that really hurt Joan, and we talked about it at our last meal together, was that Ellen always shunned her and Ellen thought she was vulgar and not funny,” the comedian began her story.

In 2014 shortly after Rivers passed away, Griffin reached out to DeGeneres to discuss the tribute, apparently igniting the feud.

“I just called her, and I just said, ‘Look, woman to woman, comic to comic, I think you need to let go of your hatred for Joan Rivers. She’s passed away, just do a f&#king tribute, be cool’,” Griffin shared.

The response she got from the Seriously … I’m Kidding author was “there’s a difference between mean and funny.”
