The much-loved robot with absolutely no filter, Zingbot, has returned to the 23rd season of Big Brother. Fans wonder who voices the star.

The robot who has made appearances on the show since Big Brother 12 is back to give the contestants some brutal but hilarious comments.

Being the voice of the viewers at home, telling houseguests what they don’t want to hear, Zingbot is set to cause just as much chaos this year as done in past seasons.

However, as much as we all love Zingbot, the question on our minds is who plays Zingbot and comes up with his great one-liners?

Who plays Zingbot?

Although portrayed as a robot on the show, Zingbot is just an actor in a robot suit.

Appearing within the house with the houseguests, even they don’t know who is inside the famous robot.

Big Brother has never confirmed who is paid to walk around in the large blue costume, however, we do know that the actor inside the suit is not the one making up the jokes.

Whilst the actor pretends to be talking to contestants, the one-liners and voice of Zingbot are pre-recorded and played to houseguests as if it’s coming directly from Zingbot.

What does Zingbot do?

First appearing on Big Brother in its twelfth season, Zingbot has been a guest in every season since and is a well-liked character.

Within every appearance, aside from roasting the houseguests, Zingbot also gets contestants involved in themed challenges.

Britney Haynes, a Big Brother houseguest, revealed that during the filming of season 14, the actor inside Zingbot’s costume passed out from heatstroke whilst hosting a competition – perhaps the job of playing Zingbot isn’t quite as fun as we all might have thought!

In the anticipation of Zingbot’s return to our screens, giving houseguests a taste of reality, fans on Twitter have made their thoughts clear on this season’s annual roast.

Although some loved what Zingbot had to say, others were disappointed and wanted more from the blue robot.

Despite fans not finding Zingbot quite as funny as they had hoped for the 23rd season, Zingbot’s Twitter appearances seem to be making up for it!
